Summer's End

Kids are back to school.  The house has been eerily quiet this past week.  You'd think I'd had more time to post.  I'll try to get back on track this week.  I wanted to post a picture of a card that my 11 year old daughter worked on.  Our friend had lent Lexi her entire Harry Potter series this summer for her to read.  Lexi made her a thank you card to give her when she returned the last book.  We got the idea from a blog I saw here.  We used more Harry Potter type colors (Bravo Burgandy, More Mustard, and Crumb Cake).  Also Chocolate chip ink.  I think it turned out really well.  Lexi is planning on making the whole set of them (the other characters) for her room.

Time is flying by.......

Having trouble posting pictures right now.  I promise to get some up soon.  I've made about 40 different cards this summer.  I think I took pictures of most of them.  The girls made some scrapbook pages too.  As soon as I figure out what's wrong with iPhoto, I'll get them posted.  Take care for now.

Finally, Summer vacation is almost here!

Here are the mini milk cartons that I made for Dani's Kindergarten class.  I added a Cricut cut graduation cap and SU ribbon to them after this picture was taken.  I think they turned out cute.  Soon I'll start adding cards I've been making.  Should be a great summer vacation!

Thanks!

Rain or Shine?

Woke up to a beautiful, crisp sunny day in Las Vegas.  Now it's raining and snowing in some parts of the Valley.  It is a perfect day to get Daniella's project done for her Kindergarten project on Penguins.

What did I ever do before the Cricut.  Used the Create a Critter cart & the Plantin Schoolbook cart for the font.

Also managed to get a couple of cards completed today.  I'll post pictures another day so the recipients don't see them on here before they get them.  :)

Thanks for looking.

Our Cricut will be smoking today

Alexis, my 10 year old, volunteered our Cricut Machine to make everything to decorate her class door for Nevada Reading Week.  The theme is "Reading Rocks!"  So it's a good thing we have a Rock Princess cart and the Hannah Montana cart.  Both are going to be getting a lot of use today.  I'll post pictures of some of our creations.  The following were all created by Alexis:
